Soaking up the sun! This weekend students from PHG and Coburg Fire finished their last weekend of Apparatus Operator training. These students have completed nearly 100 hours of classroom and practical training. This course prepares firefighters to operate each kind of apparatus we use in serving our community. We have been fortunate to include Coburg Firefighters in this training which allows our students to experience a wide range of emergency service vehicles that each District have. During a visit on Veterans' Day, the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association learned that the 140 residents’ immediate need was hygiene products. We are assisting with a Hygiene Drive for those Veterans living in the Oregon Veterans Home, in Lebanon, OR.

We want to sincerely thank Funk/Levis and Associates for all their hard work as our communication specialists, during our efforts to create a new fire district. It was a long journey with many obstacles in our way to overcome. Anne Marie and Karen were instrumental in creating communication lines with the Lane County Election Office and the Lane County Board of Commissioners. They helped us generate documents and worked with getting them approved by the Secretary of State.
